Jonas Boulefaa

Height/Position: 6’9” Forward

Birthdate: January 16, 2007
Level: Mid Major +
Roles: Stretch 4
Swing Skills: Ball handling
Jonas Boulefaa is a productive 6’9” stretch forward who has showcased his scoring ability for national teams and in Adidas Next Generation Tournaments (ANGT). During the 2023-24 ANGT, he averaged 14 points and 5.3 rebounds per game while shooting an impressive 50% from three (21-42). He also held his own at the FIBA U17 World Cup, averaging 9 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2 assists against older competition.
Boulefaa excels in his defined role as a stretch 4, with a quick, high-arching release that makes him a dangerous pick-and-pop threat and transition floor spacer. He also sets solid screens to create open looks and finishes efficiently around the basket, shooting 66% at the rim during the U17s. In the low post, he uses his size and soft touch to score over smaller defenders and fights hard for position.
On the glass, Boulefaa is a solid positional rebounder, particularly on the offensive end, where he grabbed 17 offensive boards over 8 games at the ANGT. However, his athletic limitations are a concern, as he lacks vertical explosiveness and is a below-the-rim player. Additionally, he doesn't offer much in terms of ball-handling. Despite these areas of improvement, Boulefaa’s shooting and rebounding make him an intriguing prospect as a floor-spacing forward. - RB
Adidas Next Generation Paris Analysis
Another really talented, young forward from the INSEP program. Boulefaa showcased his shooting ability in different ways. He made catch and shoot 3s. He made 3’s as the roll man. He made moving 3s in actions. When he wasn’t taking and making 3s, he had enough to put the ball on the ground to either make a play for himself or for others. While his role was diminished due to the teams talent, there might be more to his game as an isolation scorer in the mid post.
