Savo Drezgić, a Serbian-born point guard, is considered one of the most promising European prospects born in 2006. After leaving Partizan Belgrade, he joined DME Basketball in Florida in late December. Drezgić's is a dynamic playmaker with the size to play on or off the ball on the college level. He’s strong, tough and competitive, while showcasing a good feel for the game as both a scorer and distributor. His game is characterized by his passing instincts pace and high basketball IQ. He’s always under control and does a good job of balancing attacking the rim, shooting off the dribble, and shooting off the catch. Drezgić is a promising pull-up shooter, but is at his best playing bully ball, as he’s physical and embraces contact, and loves to post up smaller guards. His creativity as a passer and ball handler is his greatest asset, as he understands how to use angles to get to the rim and scores on all three levels. Additionally, he is an excellent rebounder from the guard spot and a scrappy defender with active hands and good instincts.
However, Drezgić has some areas that need improvement. He lacks ideal blow-by speed, which can limit his ability to get past defenders. His shooting consistency also needs to be addressed to become a more reliable threat. Additionally, there is a question of whether he can dominate without his current strength advantages as he progresses to higher levels of competition. Despite these concerns, Drezgić's versatility, competitiveness, and high basketball IQ make him an intriguing prospect for college coaches looking for a well-rounded and skilled guard.
