The 2024 FIBA U18 AmeriCup held in Buenos Aires, Argentina, showcased some of the finest young basketball talents from across the Americas. The United States team continued its dominance, claiming their 7th consecutive championship and 11th title overall with a resounding 110-70 victory over the host nation, Argentina, in the final. While the U.S. team was loaded with top-tier Division I prospects, several non-American players also made a significant impact, catching the eyes of college scouts and basketball enthusiasts alike. Tyler Kropp, the tournament's leading scorer (22.0) and rebounder (11.3), did extremely well to lead Argentina to the final, where they fell to the United States.

He did well to draw fouls at the rim (49 free throw attempts), and converted the shots at a respectable efficiency (78%).

His lack of positional size and length were exposed, however, as players simply shot over him on the defensive end. However, he is still a plus on that end due to his sheer ability to chase down and corral boards.
